Pool Tile & Coping Repair

Pool tile and coping play an important role in the aesthetic value of your swimming pool and spa. Over time pool tiles and coping may become loose and brittle. The effects of this can not only be an eye sore, but could also be a safety hazard.
Coping, which usually consists of stone, brick, or concrete, over time can loosen or shift putting people at risk of injury. ACT’s trained specialists are able to repair or replace your coping, by removing the damaged or broken pieces and replacing them, using only the best products available. After repairing, a sealer can be applied to prevent moisture from seeping under the stone, and to extend the life of your coping. Swimming pool tile is susceptible to damage, due to the fact that they are typically set around the water line of the swimming pool or spa. With all tile comes grout, which is susceptible to cracking, allowing water to seep through and behind tiles causing calcium to build up. Over time this will cause tiles to pop and fall off. By the time this happens, the damage has usually spread, hollowing surrounding tiles, causing more repairs. All hollow and loose tiles need to be removed, cleaned and reset. Any missing tiles can most likely be matched and replaced.
